Axe Heads
Scope and Contents
There are two metal axe heads:
Large - found in area across from oldfarm house. May have been a gazebo at this site at one time. According to info found in Doylestown, [it is] believe[d] [that] the axe head dates to 1850s.Had to be cut from tree roots that grew around it. 7 1/2" x 8 1/4"
Small - unknown. 5" x 5"
(Details found on paper which also contains a small map to show where the location is where the items were found.)

From the Collection: 61 Linear Feet (Many items are not housed in boxes - they are displayed on the shelves in the collection room. All other items are housed in boxes. Box 30 is oversized.) : Many are in good condition, with a few that need careful handling. There are a few heavy items and glass objects so care should be taken with them. Many of the clothes are in good condition but due to their age, they should be handled gently.
