The Pennsylvania Second State Tax of 1779, 1978

 Item — Box: 11

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

Contains research done by Virginia Geyer, well-known resident of Northampton Township. This collection is primarily secondary sources. Her research is mostly newspaper clippings and typed up notes.

This collection is organized alphabetically, which is how Geyer had it orginally organized. It should be noted that there will be some items not organized alphabetically - this was how it was originally organized. The materials have been rehoused and the original order to the collection has been kept.

For "Map xx-x" Sub-series - these sub-series correspond to the "1800 Map Trace" sub-series. The "Map Trace" can be used to follow the line of people who lived in a certain home or area.

The Northampton Township Genealogy section is organized by name. You'll notice that it says "Addis" and then "Adams to Atkinson." A name you are looking for could be within each folder. Please reach out if there is a specific name you are looking for. This series has typed notes by Geyer - there is not much detail about each family but it includes who is connected to who and various relations. Some names have more information than others.
